  • How many continuing education hours do I need to renew my license?
    The Georgia Real Estate Commission requires agents to complete thirty-six (36) credit hours to renew their license. The renewal period is the agent's birthday month every four (4) years after they received/renewed their license.
  • What is a REALTOR®?
    A REALTOR® is an agent or agency that belongs to the local or state board of REALTORS and is affiliated with the "National Association of REALTORS" (NAR). They follow a strict code of ethics beyond state license laws and also sponsor the Multiple Listing System (MLS), which is used to list houses for sale. REALTOR is a trademark of the National Association of Realtors.
  • What real estate classes are required?
    License Law is a required once every four (4) years prior to each agent's individual renewal. License will be placed on an incative status if an agent does not meet this requirement. Code of Ethics is required once every two (2) years for all REALTO R®who are members of a a local or state Board of REALTOR®. This required class is due at the end of every even year (i.e. December 31, 2020). Code of Ethics is not required for agents that are not a member of a Board of Realtors.
  • How often can I take the same continuing education (CE) real estate class?
    Agents may take the same real estate class with the same school every year. There must be at least twelve (12) calendar months between each class. (i.e. Class taken January 18, 2018 can be taken January 18, 2019 or after to receive continuing education credts.
